With pleasure I introduce you the workshop program from January untill June 2010.  Again we have several new and interesting workshops to offer in creating jewellery aswell as in sculpting figures.  Traditional, we organise the vacation course "doll making" in France during the second week of September.  The workshops can be followed by starters as by more developped trainees. Teaching the technics gives me a lot of satisfaction.

We works in groups of maximum 6 persons, by which I can reach out to everone's attention.

1) Workshop "Silverclay "

1) Workshop Silverclay:

Costs for this workshop are :
2 evenings = € 97

You learn under guidance how to create your jewellery in art clay silver.  When fired in a kiln or even with a small kitchen torch you end up with pure fine silver .99,9 % or 999 fine silver.  After introduction you will start to create your jewellery in selfharding clay.  I suggest to start with a pendant if it’s the first time you work with silver clay.  In the next lesson you then can create whatever you like (a ring, pendant, brooch) or you can experiment with half-mineral stones, glas, Zirconia, etc.  You can find a more detailed explanation on this website under Art Clay Silver.

The price of the course includes 1 package of 20 gr. Silver Clay.  You are free to buy some more clay if wish to create a larger piece. The chain is not included in the price.

All materials are included, such as : 20 gr. Silver cay, used of silver paste and syringe,  firing and used of materials.

Afternoon course on Monday 1st and 15th February from: till  from 1400 till 17:00

In this course you will create a bead stringed pearl necklace by the use of pearls or gemstone, silk threads and tweezers.  The pearl will be catch between 2 knots.
During the first afternoon you will practice with cotton thread and wooden pearls.  In the second afternoon, you will create you necklace with pearls or gemstones and silk thread.

  
All materials are included, such as :  cotton thread, tweezers, silk thread, cantille wire.  Pearls, gemstone, silver findings are not included.

3) Knitted jewellery with fine silver wire:

2 lessons

Afternoonworkshop on Monday 26th of pril and the 10th o Mai from 14:00 untill 17:00

In this course you learn how to knit and create jewellery with fine silver wire.  You are free to create a pendant, earrings, bracelet.  Fine silver wire is pure silver, free of copper or nickel. So it's comfortable for knitting.  Once your jewel in knitted we will work on it with Art clay paste and silver granules.  Once your pendant is finished you can combine it with pearls or gemstones. 

All materials are included, such as :  10 m fine silver wire, 10 gr. silver paste, 2,5 gr. silver granules, firing. Findings, pearls, gemstones, etc. are not included.

Afternooncourse on Monday 8-15 and 29th of March from 14:00 till 17:00

Bronzeclay is a fascinating new medium for the jewellery creator.  It consist of 11 % tin and 89 % copper, water and a non-toxic binder.  Inthis workshop you can create several forms of links (oval, round, square, rectangle, etc.).  Once all links are made we will file and sand them before firing.  The links will be fired in a steel pan buried in activated carbon granules.  You have the choice between charcoal granules or coconut granules depending on the desired patina. After firing we will assembly the links to a chain.  You can make a combination of links and pearls.

All materials are included, such as:  100 gr. bronzeclay, used of tools, firing.  Pearls, findings, chaines are not included.

Afternoon workshop on Monday 31st May, 7 and 14th June from 14:00 till 17:00

During this workshop you will work with 3 mediums : silverclay, porcelain clay and overlay paste.  You will create a ringshank in Silverclay.  In porcelain clay you will create a free form which will be attached to the ring shank after firing.  On the glazed porcelain we will draw a design with the overlay paste.  The porcelain will be fired at 1270 °C 

All materials are included such as : 10 gr. Silverclay, use of silver paste an syringe, porcelain clay, glaze, overlay paste, firing silverlcay and porcelain clay, use of tools, UV-resin.  Pearls, gemstone, findings, etc. are not included.

6) Water etching a silverclay pendant :

2 lessons

Morningworkshop on Saturday 5 and 12th June from 9:00 till 12:00

By etching will we take a layer from the top coat of the silver.  We will protect the areas which are not to be etched by using a resist.  You are free to draw your own design on the silverclay.  After firing you can oxidise your pendant to give it a more intense look.

All materials are included, such as : 10 gr. Silverclay, use of silverpaste and syringe, resist, liver of sulfur, firing.  Gemstone, pearls, findings, etc. are not included/

7) Enamel accents on Silverclay - cloisonnée :

1 lesson

Dayworkshop on Saturday 19th June from 9:00 till 17:00

Enamelled accents are small cells created using fine silver wire which is fused to the surface of a silver base piece using Overlay Silver Paste.  These cells are then enamelled to create a free standing cloisonnée effect. It is designed to be used with just one or two thin layers of enamel.

All materials are included, such as : 10 gr. Silverclay, use of silver paste and syringe, overlay paste, silver wire; firing, enamel and lunch

8) Porcelain mask on Canvas :

5 lessons

Morningworkshop on Saturday 20-27 March, 10-17 and 24th April from 9:00 till 12:00.

You will sculpture a mask in porcelain clay.  We use French Porcelain from Limoges.  After firing the mask will be painted with aquarelpaint and we will varnish the mask to protect it from dust and water. On the Canvas you can work on it with fibres, clay, sand, etc..  After this we will paint the Canvas with aquarel or acrylic paint.

All materials for a painting of 20 x 20 cm are included.

9) Sculptured Torso :

6 lessons

Morningworkshop on Saturday 6-13-20-27 February, 6 and 13 March from 9:00 till 12:00

or

Afternoonworkshop on Saturday 27 March, 10-17-24 pril, 5 and 12 June from 14:00 till 17:00

You will learn how to sculpture a head and torso in airdrying clay.  Once the sculpture is modelled we will sand it and paint accents with aquarelpaint.  You can finish the Torso with silk or you can create it completely out of clay.

All materials are included such as : 2 packs of La Doll clay, isomo ball, wooden stand, iron wire, eyes, paint, varnish.  Silk is not included.

10) Sculptured Fashion doll :

7 lessons

Afternoonworkshop on Tuesday 9-23 February, 2-16-30 March, 20 April and 4 May from 14:00 till 17:00 

You will learn how to sculpture a head, torso, arms and hands.  Once all parts are sculptured you will learn how to sand them.  After sanding we will paint the fashion doll by using aquarelpaint of acrylic paint. The fashion doll will be dressed with lace, etc.

All materials are included such as : 1 pack of La Doll, isomo egg, paint, varnish, wooden standard, screw eyes, screw hooks.  Lace, tissues, etc. are not included.

11) Free sculpting with porcelain clay :

During this workshop you are free to sculpture whatever you like in porcelain clay.

12) Sculptured Jester :

7 lessons

Eveningworkshop on Monday 26 April, 3-10-17-31 May and 7 June from 19:30 till 22:30

This Jester has a sculptured head, underleggs and underarms which can me moved.  The Jester is sculptured in Airdrying clay La Formo.  After sculpting it has been painted with aquarelpaint.  The clothes are made of silk velvet.

All materials are included such as : 1 pack Formo, isomo ball, tissue body, paint, varnish.  Silk, bells, chair, etc. are not included.

13) Dollmaking and holiday in France from September 4th untill September 11th

The dollmaking and holiday week will take place in ‘Le Mas de Pinquié’.  A residential holiday park, located in the South-West of France (Lot), in the middle of a nature domain and on about 20 min. from the tourisitic towns as Rocamadour,  Figéac and Padirac.
The dollmaking week starts on Saturday afternoon and ends on the next Saturday morning.  You are staying on a full pension base.  Every participant has his on twin bedroom with bathroom.  If you wish your partner can join.  Privacy is guaranteed.
During this week we will make a full sculpt in airdrying clay. 

The program :
Saturday afternoon September 4th:
Arrival fo the guests.  Welcome drink and introduction to the course, the participants, the meals and the surrounding area.

Day 2 to Saturday September 11th:
8 am till 9 am : breakfast
9 am till 1 pm : dollmaking session
1 pm till 2 pm : lunch
After lunch you can choose whatever you wish to do.   This can be swimming in the pool, visiting a nice French town, etc.
6:30 pm till 7:30 pm : Diner including wine.  On Friday evening will we have our last diner in a local restaurant.
8 pm till 9:30 pm : dollmaking session

Saturday morning 8 am till 9 am:
breakfast and departure of the guests.
